What the ironic part is, they were the first people I contacted. But because I used the word 'Intern' instead of 'job', it cause too much confusion.

Only now when I said 'job' instead of 'intern', which is weird cause the only reason I'm doing this is because I have to do it for College. It requires us to take an off campus location to take this class.

But the Word "intern" is related to prisions mostly, isn't it? (Because at least here, it is)

Not so in the United States. "Intern", "internship" are both used frequently to describe a paid/unpaid work experience at a certain company for varying lengths of time.

For example, I did a week-long internship at Corning, Inc. to study glass technology in a lab setting.
