My idea was the Player in the main Series simple serve a purpose, otherwise he simple didn't exist.
He was a made to simple keep the subconscious of everyone who was hook in preserved.

But Murtuagh was curse by curiosity in wondering if life returned to the earth yet.
So he found a loophole in the submachine programing where if he had the submachine create an actual person from scratch, sort like a clone, but not as a copy of anybody, just to simple keep it from crashing.
