One that makes me confused about the ending is that outside the Lighthouse is outside the Submachine, does that mean that before they buried it, it wasn't part of the Submachine?

So in Murtaugh's second enlightment he got time traveling powers, that seems clear.

I also find it creepy was the fact they were waiting for us.
3 camels prove this very notion.

Maybe was Mur and Liz the ones to place the usefull clues and items there, that was a method to rescue people from Submachine, and they were obviously waiting to someone to pop up and take it home.
