Lol yeah
If I were to choose a letter for a new constant I discovered I'd choose the cyrillic multiocular o: ꙮ It's awesome and impossible to write at the same time XD or maybe some 100-stroked chinese character? I'd love trolling the scientific community

Meet biáng:
It apparently is a popular type of noodle.
EDIT: Bah, image failed.

Perfect...
"Let this constant be denoted with the symbol
(pronounced 'biáng')..."

I bet it wouldn't take long before "Let this constant be denoted with the symbol █ (pronounced biáng)..."

2pi doesn't appear more than just pi, in pure mathematics. That's kinda only a physics thing.
Exhibit A: my signature.

I'm glad I didn't have Biang in my Chinese class...
Take your Math out of Off-Topic and into the Science thread, mah brainnnzzzz >.< XD
"I found out I'm going to New Orleans next April, that followed by a theme park tour in July/August. 2013 is going to be another amazing travelling year for myself and my family."
Have fun! That should be awesome!

Then you haven't seen enough mathematics yet
it appears a lot in the context of complex numbers, exponentials, logarithms, trigonometry, hiperbolas, spheres, fourier transforms, distributions, hermitian operators, extensions of complex numbers... I'd guess it's something like 95% 2*pi vs. 5% another constant*pi
I'm glad I didn't have Biang in my Chinese class...
Lol, I'm imagining it... "Homework for today: practise writing by filling an entire sheet of your notebook with 'biáng' characters"

Nice! The plan of invading the forum with the power of Science is giving good results so far

I said charactersssss... and that plural s was short for "1000 instances of it" :B
