It's his choice and ours' as well. He asks for $1400 for the ultimate Sub_Universe expansion and we did for a while. Now that we chose not to give him anymore fund as it sank below that milestone, he won't release it for a long while.

I think he said he wants to take a much needed break from Submachine after the release of 10. The dude has been pumping out Submachine for a decade. He's earned a well deserved vacation. I don't think the money really impacted the SNEE stuff. The guy is just burned out from Submachine, you make the same thing over and over for the last ten years, that can happen lol.

Bad idea. Patron's already get the HD version of the game for free, why should I have to wait a day, while others who paid get it a day earlier? It ruins the concept of Patreon. The concept is, you don't have contribute, and making a game released a day earlier for those who have contributed, is unfair.

Plus you have also people who have content and will use that to spoil the game. I can just see it now... submachine wiki overloaded with screenshots and content, a day before I get my hands on the game. Lol no thanks.
