I have have met one of these people years ago, I call them "Sea Cows", because, why not, just look at they belly...

All this time I thought my screen had a dead pixel, it was a dirt, I had to rub my fingernail at it for a while, it never appeared to clean by usual cleaning.

It happens to everyone. 
Reminds me of a program that apparently "kills" one pixel in the top right corner of your screen while your PC is on. They said it reduces the power your unit uses, or reduces the energy cost for it, or something along these lines.
I'm not sure of what happened to that program, though. Can't even remember the name. AFAIK it probably wasn't too beneficial anyways.
