Why? Normally when I do get sleep paralysis it feels like inception and I'm paralysed, nothing scary about that.
I don't get why everyone I ask says sleep paralysis is terrifying? :?
Are you trying to experience it? Because I don't know what you would do besides sleeping a lot in order to wake up more times.
That doesn't seem to work.
Is this my final form?

Many people have intruder hallucinations when they have sleep paralysis.

I don't believe this to be sleep paralysis, do you own a laptop or some for of a device or item that you use allot?

For example, my laptop, I place it plug in, with a wireless mouse, and place it right next to my bed. So that way I watch a few things before going to sleep.

In the morning, during a state of where your waking up, but you keep you eyes shut so you don't wake up, my sense of time changes from slow, to literal. Where as to feels like an hour was only 21 minutes. I felt every second.

The point of the laptop is, during this state, I wake up, start up my laptop, and browse around for a few minutes. But then I get stuck in this cycle of me waking up, booting up my laptop, and browsing it to where I feel its so real, when I actually wake up to find the laptop still shut down and close...

I think that is close to what you want..

I HAD A DREAM

yay

I woke up literally ten minutes ago and I want to write it down before I forget it!!!

Alright here goes

(also, not all of the little details actually happened, but I'm trying to get a feel for descriptive writing :D So it's also a sci fi story! It follows pretty closely though.)
----
Before I start, a backstory: My friends and I left school and went to an ice cream place after school yesterday. One of my friends was driving and on the way back we took a lot of backroads before we got back to the school. Interestingly, the car ride is where this dream starts O_O

I'm sitting in the back of the car. Colin and Justin are up front yelling and arguing about some random chick at school. I'm kinda tuning them out by this stage.

We keep driving. And driving. And driving. We enter a highway surrounded by trees. Then it changes to ocean. It reminds me of the roads to Monterey in California. Then we enter a valley, and the sun sets. Colin starts to drive faster and faster, and I tell him to slow down and watch for animals. He gives me his signature hand signal to let me know he heard me (the middle finger).

We keep driving. The high beams flick on and spill a long stream of road out in front of us. I see lights in the distance. We roll past burnt sage brush and slowly work our way around mountains. How we traveled from NY to California to Colorado so quickly, I do not know. The smell of smoke lingers in the air, and discarder flamethrowers can be seen rusting alongside the road every so often. The lights get brighter and I realize we are approaching Denver. A sign greets us: "Welcome to Denver: The First Step into the 22nd Century!" Buildings of all shapes and sizes greet us like giant soldiers on the front lines. Actual soldiers can be seen in the distance, bordering a tight ring around the city, each holding a particle dispersion gun. Neon colors bleed out of the spaces between the buildings' foundations as the streetlights illuminate the roads. Colin tells me that none of the public lives in the city unless they are a business executive in for a meeting. This is the country's middle ground exists, where west-coast and east-coast clients all congregate for their meetings. I can see the tubes and high suspended tracks of the AirTrams twisting out of the city's center and stretching in both directions. We choose to pass all this new futuristic hubbub and turn left, heading for a small side town.

Upon entering the town the wind picks up, scattering newspapers across the road. Under the glare of the bright lights they look like black and white ghosts flying by our windshield. Colin pulls off at a small side store. It is still well-furnished and sells glass ornaments. A woman greets us at the door and I can already tell that she is not human. She is an android straight out of "The Machine", except tuned down severely in order to act as a secretary. She calls herself a "Social". I've heard of the different classes of android that were supposed to exist. The "Socials" who are made to be on the streets among the people, holding jobs in business, catering to everyday needs, and helping to give directions. Below them are the "Diligents" that handle the janitorial work of a large city and are rarely seen. They have been the butt of many jokes in schools across the United States, being called "Dilges" and all that. And then there are of course the "Militants", which hardly anyone ever talks about anymore. Ever since the war of 21(blah blah blah blah) (also, Cinemasins would be giving me a large *ding* about now for unnecessary exposition) they have almost fallen out of existence.

The social takes us into the glass ornament shop, the only shop still running in the town. I look to Colin as to why we are here, and he tells me to just go along for the ride. I look to Justin for more details but he just shakes his head and puts a vertical finger to his mouth.

She leads us to a back door that hides a long staircase. We descend for what seems like a whole five minutes, led only by a banister and a string of bare bulbs tacked to the ceiling. After we reach the bottom, we spill out into a brightly lit, polished hallway, the type you would see in department stores. People are everywhere. Some are actual people, some are androids The underground city that never sleeps. The entire place is glass windows, ramps, and display stands. However the mall is only on one floor, and the ceilings are suspended only two feet above our heads, reminding us that we are underground. Signs adorn the walls and say things like "Welcome to Suburbia" describing Denver's "Last Haven for Humanity". Other government-issued posters like "Watch for the Resistance" (how original) sometimes are taped over these signs. Some stretches of hallways are lined with steel doors, each with a secure keypad system. For those of the public who decided to stay near the city, these doors hide the cubicles in which they live.

The Social beckons me to follow her. Colin and Justin immediately follow her, and I can tell that they are savoring the view her close-cropped hair and her tight dress. I start walking. We walk for an hour, passing shops of all kind. I have lost my sense of direction as the hallways twist and turn rapidly and shops appear and disappear out of nowhere. I lose count of the steel doors. We finally turn off and push our way through a last crowd of people to arrive at an underground hangar. Helicopters and hovercarriers sit dormant in large painted circles. The Social guides us past guards and we climb into a hovercarrier. I can sense Colin and Justin's excitement. Before I board I look straight up. A long tube extends through the ceiling, and I can just make out some stars at the top, way in the distance.

Rising out of the tunnel, the pilot turns towards from the city and heads towards one of the few patches of trees that borders the skyscrapers. This forest was evidently preserved while the Militants came through. Flying through corridors of trees and still-intact rivers, we arrive at a mansion. The walls are carved of stone slabs that remind me of a futuristic "Fallingwater" design. We descend and step out of the helicopter. The Social turns to me and says, "We won't be here long. We just have to pick something up. Just remember, you are a human."

We enter the mansion. Red carpets and glass chandeliers are everywhere. People and androids sip champagne and wine, talking to each other. I become separated from the group amid all the people. I climb a staircase to get a better view. Colin and Justin are nowhere to be seen. Though people are acting cordial to each other, I can sense a very strong tension in the room. Sure enough, a small scuffle breaks out between two "men" in the corner. I watch the scene unfold before my eyes as a crowd of new androids breaks down the front door and starts hacking away at party guests with blades grafted to their arms. The entire scene descends into a frenzy of people and androids trying to escape to bloodfest. Some of the android party guests are starting to try to capture the humans and hold them for the new wave of androids to deal with.

I hear a yell behind me and turn to see a man running toward me. He has an uncanny resemblance to Desmond from "Lost" and I can't figure out if he is human or not. Then I see he is running away from a line of androids that are running up the stairs. He tells me to follow him. I start running. He heads toward a broken stained-glass window and dives through it. I follow him, almost slicing my stomach on glass shards. There is a personal hovercraft outside, seating two, and "Desmond" is already climbing in. I drop to the ground and scramble inside. We fly through more forest for two minutes and land in a small clearing in the trees. Desmond climbs out and runs into the forest. I try to keep up with him, but he is too fast. I lose him in the dense trees in a matter of seconds. I keep running, searching for anyone, anything.

For about twenty minutes I pick my way around trees, hopelessly lost. At some point the trees begin to thin out , and large patches of tall grass begins to permeate the ground around the trees, making for an odd forest-grassland combination. I see movement in the distance and recognize androids moving through the forest. They are moving in a line and I begin running again, hoping to distance myself before they can see me. I keep running until I reach a strange building in the middle of another clearing. It has a square foundation made of concrete and the middle is hollowed out in a rectangle just big enough to fit a person lying down. Wooden posts extend up and yellow bunches of a fabric-like material are perched on top. A cord hangs down in the middle. Without knowing exactly what I'm doing I climb into the middle hole, lie down, and pull the cord. The Yellow material descends around me, forming a four-sided pyramid of all things. I lie in the pyramid for a couple of minutes, only hearing my own shallow breathing. Then my ears pick up the sound of the androids pushing through the grass. For some reason they pass right by the pyramid and continue to move away. Sighing in relief, I stay there for a couple minutes to make sure they are gone. Then I pull the cord again to release the walls of the pyramid.

When the fabric walls climb back up, I realize I am not in the same clearing as before. The trees are now thinner and a hill rises steeply to one side. No tall grass can be found anywhere. I hear a shout from the top of the hill and see Desmond. "Up here!" he yells down at me. I start to climb the hill, exhausted from the running and the strange events I have been put through. I realize that the sky is a light gray, in contrast from the pitch black night I had experienced before. I reach the top, and another deserted town spills out before me. Desmond put his hand on my shoulder and speaks to me. "Listen carefully. The only way to escape is through this town. You have to run through these streets, going as straight as possible. You will reach a huge wall painted red." I turn toward the city and can barely make out flecks of red in the distance, bordering a huge wall that spans a couple miles. "There is a hole leading inside. Go through it. It's the entrance to one of their "Social Experiments". You remember those?" I say no. "The government set them up a while back. No one knows why. It's a huge circular building full of people. In the middle is the exit. You can get away from all of this. But you have to listen to me."

"You have to follow the path through all the stores It will have yellow stripes on the ground. You must keep your arms up at all times and make no attempt to conceal anything. Don't talk to anyone except to say, "No thank you" if they offer you anything. Do NOT stop at any of the shops or game booths. Don't make eye contact, if possible. As soon as you do anything or let your arms down, guards will pour in and shoot you. Don't turn around, Just keep going. Don't ask me why they set this up. But it's the only way. You will know the exit when you see it. Good luck. Now go!" Desmond turns and runs back down the hill.

Bewildered, I have no choice but to start running. My feet touch the road. Suddenly, I lose my hearing. Or at least that's what I think. As I start running, I realize that I can hear nothing besides the pattering of my feet and my ragged breathing, I cannot hear the wind blowing through the trees, the creaking of the stop lights and telephone poles, or the newspapers blowing in my face. It is all silent. I am the only person in the town. I run for many more minutes.

Finally I reach the wall. It reminds me of the walls found in "Lifeless Planet". A circular tunnel is to my left. I enter it and as soon as I cross the threshold, the sounds of the shops to come bursts into my ears. I put my hands up, already feeling the intense pressure of putting them down, and my muscles ache. I enter the building. I see the striped path at my feet.

I make my way past strip clubs. Rooms full of pool tables. Bars that extend for hundreds of meters, slightly curving to math the exterior walls of the facility. The people are loud, raucous. A fight breaks out every so often, and I find myself having to step around brawling macho guys, waiters with huge platters of food, and the occasional topless dancer. I'm jostled by stray elbows and hips of densely-packed partiers in rave clubs. Each second it feels as if another ten pounds are being added to my arms.

(heh, I reached the character limit!!)

...
(I've been writing this for more than an hour, wow)
I sneak glances out the windows, and they all show vast cites at different times of day. My sense of time is eradicated, but I can feel the curves of the labyrinthine passageways slowly getting tighter as I work my way toward the center. A man taps me on the shoulder and a shock of fear pulses through me. He leans close to my face and asks him to join a game of cards. I mumble, "No thank you," and keep walking. A stripper turns her voluptuous body toward me and beckons with her finger. I avert my eyes and keep walking, my arms sagging lower and lower with each step. The walls are narrower now, and are more packed with people. I have to push my way through slightly more partygoers, ignoring the signs for "Lotto Tickets Here!" and "Free Dinners on Thursdays Here!" I even painfully walk past the numerous bathrooms, out of so much fear of deviating from this nightmare. Bass tones from rave music jars me continuously. Lights flash in my eyes and disorient me briefly. I keep following the yellow line, stepping around broken glasses and pools of vomit.

At one point I lift my eyes and see a very small door in front of me with a large sign labeled "EXIT" about 50 meters away. I'm noticing that the curvature of the walls is tighter but is still twisting and turning in random directions, making me wonder if I'm still in a spiral or if I'm doubling back on where I was before. It isn't a big stretch of the imagination that the previous rooms and hallways were deleting themselves and putting new ones before me to walk through. There is an almost impossible barrier of people in front of the door, and I very carefully nudge my way through. Passing through the door, I utter a sigh of relief. However I am still on guard and keep my hands raised.

A very tight hallway guides me through compacted twists and turns. I can't see more than two feet ahead of me at any given time. I am sure by this point that I am impossibly doubling back on myself in spaces I've been in before. The hallway shrinks more and more. Claustrophobia ensues. Finally there is an opening with bright light emanating out. I turn the corner.

A huge room spills out before me. Everything is white tiles and bright halogen lights. Machines line the borders of the room. I walk forward, spotting a hallway on the other side of the room opposite me. I pass the machines. Some are unrecognizable, some look like super computers, but some are surprisingly lottery ticket machines. I walk past all of these, too tired to examine them and try to figure out what they mean. I reach the other hallway eighty meters away and walk through. This hallway is all gray. Nothing seems to light it up, it is just gray. My hands are still stretched out and as I walk, I can slowly feel them drawing into my sides. My feet stop walking.

My body flows smoothly from a walking position to a reclining position and then fully lying down. I can feel something pressing on top of me. Covers. My eyes open. Were they closed this whole time? I realize where I am, and I feel an immense amount of peace.

I kinda just did

But I can always clean it up and expand on it. I can use it as a good exercise before I start my Submachine spinoff.

Yes! Finally had another Submachine dream. Though I didn't write it down immediately like last time, so I forgot most of it. But here's what I remember:

-I actually think there actually was a title to the game. It was called "Submachine: Artifacts" or something like that. Text can be iffy in dreams, I've heard. I accessed it from a site outside of mateuszskutnik.com, but at some points I was actually inside the game rather than playing it on a computer screen!

-It appeared that locations were accessed by Sub4 portals. Funny thing was, the locations were grouped by common area, but they were the same location at different times. Not just from location to location, but room to room. Like there were a strip of four or five rooms that resembled the Root, and two or three versions of that same set of rooms had different ages. It was freaky. Like changing ages or layers without a navigator.
-Some rooms resembled Portal (the game)! I remember freaking out mid-dream because it was cool :D
-There was one location group that I experienced in three dimensions ("in-game") that reminded be of a burned-out bunker found in Kairo (will post picture later). Was really cool. this location had about three different aged versions.
-One room had this strange creature on a pedestal that was freaking out the whole time. the location was furnished like that of the temple.

Items found:
-large brass key
-ladder (!)
-assorted small keys
-blue orb (kinda looked like Luke's trainer in Star Wars IV)

Mechanisms:
-rusty staircases in Kairo location
-large rusted panels such as where we put the key in FLF HD (found in the Root-like location)
-futuristic-looking white panels found in the Portal-like locations, also vertical green laser beams that rose out of the floor

Wish I could remember more, unfortunately I had to get ready for school...I don't think I found any "artifact" sort of things either.

Submachine dreams are awesome, because they're vivid enough to leave an "immersion effect" when I wake up :)
