Boingo, I got your pm but I'm not allowed to pm back (yet). Your list of 7 levels of stupidness sounds like perfectly good sense to me...

Are you not allowed to PM back because of # of posts you have? I think I heard about that feature.

@Boingo: You know Chinese? :O
Rooster - I've just remembered, I tried 10 Gnomes and Daymare Town before Submachine and didn't enjoy them much, which put me off. As soon as I struggled to find a small item I switched off, expecting much of the same. As you can imagine I'll be trying the HD versions of Submachine 7 and 8 pretty soon (full screen!)
Hah! Glad to hear it (about the HD Versions.) DMT's quite the challenge, 10 Gnomes is probably up there too, so I understand.

哈!为什么你觉得我不能勾说华语呢?
我是在英国出生,可是我班去中国一个半年。
然后,我搬去新西兰。

Happy?

Oh, so you liked my seven levels of stupidness then? :D

By the way, has anybody's edit tool disappeared?
And don't try to use it on google translate. It'll only just make sense.

Welcome to the forum?

Edit: it appeared. The edit tool, I mean.

我班去中国一个半年
You went to China for half a year?

Chinese is a very hard language to learn.
By "interactive text," I assume you mean something like MSPaintAdventures - Homestuck and the like?
No, I mean a story that can go many different ways and you can decide what comes next by clicking in certain places.

Heh. I also forgot to say my mum is Malaysian, and all kids in Malaysia have to speak mandarin.
So, it's natural. Just as good as my English actually.

Hard? My dad, who is English, only took one year to learn to speak enough to get around the country without missing out on 90%of the conversation.

Ok, it would be hard. And writing is worse.

But I'm grabbing the spotlight. Lets talk about our new member!

It's hard if it's the only language you learn that uses that writing system. Especially if you're learning how to write more than how to speak (I've encountered this). (for my purposes it defeats the purpose)

?I live in Malaysia, and all kids are required to speak Bahasa Malaysia(duh),not Mandarin.
In fact, you aren't encouraged to learn Mandarin, unless you're Chinese, and even then you have to have come from a Chinese school.
