What specifically is the reason you say the edge is between the Core and the Outer Rim?

This is true. At least if I understand rightly.

But there would be two edges, the inner and the outer. Which one was it? I don't remember if we reached a conclusion....

Then evidence, as I see it, points towards the outer edge being the one we've seen. Allow me to elaborate:

We know that the secondary defense system protocols control the turret chain, which we know to be in the Edge we've seen. Now, we've seen a relatively clear indication of it's location in the infestation graph: it says "sds -tc" - "secondary defense system - the core". Further, Mateusz has called the edge a peripheral structure. Although that can refer to its computery nature, I think it is more likely that he meant that the edge circles the subnet.

EDIT: I am, of course, aware of the possible counter arguments, such as that the edge was somehow "in the way" and stopped Murtaugh from entering the core and then there is the whole infinite Outer Rim debacle. There are possible counter-arguments but I think I shall not dwell into those in depth.

I'd think the edge somehow comprises both edges, because one would be required to block access to the Core from the outer rim, and the other is consistent with some info from Mateusz and the games. But let's see if he answers this question... he is online now!

Could be. That actually makes more sense (not to mention a much better point). I must admit though, sds might mean subnet defense system as well.
