Re: The Abacus' Theories
XYZ is length, width and depth, not length, width and layer. There should another letter for layer (L?).I don't know if you saw my posts on this (may be somewhere on the Sub9 Theories page) - The Geotags refer to where a person is on the X/Y plane of a Layer, which is why those people referenced in the note in Layer 3 didn't understand why the other person was in the same Geotag, although not in the same Z-Axis as they were. Think about it in terms of Cipher Plates and the XYZ Portal - The Cipher Plates only have 2 coordinates (if I'm correct, as another example, so does the Navigator from The Loop), but the XYZ Portal has three coordinates, which determine the X, Y and Z coordinates, whereas the Cipher Plates are only X and Y.
Basically what I'm trying to say is the Geotags only operate on the X/Y Plane, the Z-Axis is reserved for the Navigator, so using the Geotags along with the Navigator may help you find who you're looking for.
I was just trying to say that we don't know much about it.
This theory is trying to show how it may be possible for easy navigation throughout the subnet using the technologies we know of.Is this Theory not to say what kind of Portals may exist, but explaining what purpose the Portals we may encounter will have?
I think you misunderstood me, by other portal systems, other connected portals (a portal system) which each have a different origin coordinate, not other portal technologies.Well, it's like the Mover - There may be other types of transportation, but they haven't been exactly "out-moded."
They're theories. I don't see the connection between theorizing and planning (to plan a theory is something different) they're two different things. You two are Planning Together.

Re: The Abacus' Theories
But the Layers are stacked on top of each other, thus indicating the Z-axis. Why else couldn't the Geotags locate that the person from Layer 3 was in Layer 3? I'm not saying XYZ doesn't exist normally in each Layer (forgot to factor that in), but this goes beyond the XYZ in each Layer.XYZ is length, width and depth, not length, width and layer. There should another letter for layer (L?).
But we're speculating, aren't we?I was just trying to say that we don't know much about it.
Well, isn't that sort of self-explantory? The Portals and Navigator are easy to useThis theory is trying to show how it may be possible for easy navigation throughout the subnet using the technologies we know of.
I think you misunderstood me, by other portal systems, other connected portals (a portal system) which each have a different origin coordinate, not other portal technologies.
That's what threw me off - I guess I wasn't thinking of the literal definition of "system," which is what made me think you were saying "technologies." So where would this "different origin" be? I think I'm still misunderstanding.portal systems

Re: The Abacus' Theories
I understand what you are saying, but we shouldn't call it a Z-axis since it is on a plane that the human race has not observed. To avoid misunderstandings we should name the (layer/dimensional) axis by a different letter. But the Layers are stacked on top of each other, thus indicating the Z-axis. Why else couldn't the Geotags locate that the person from Layer 3 was in Layer 3? I'm not saying XYZ doesn't exist normally in each Layer (forgot to factor that in), but this goes beyond the XYZ in each Layer.
Easy wasn't the keyword. The keyword was THROUGHOUT. I meant how it was possible to navigate throughout the whole of the subnet using the known technologies.Well, isn't that sort of self-explantory? The Portals and Navigator are easy to use
I assume it can be anywhere. I'll use the XYZ portal as an example. The XYZ portal was reverse-engineered and they set the first portal system to have the coordinate 000 for the lab (dorm). The fact that it reverse-engineered tells us that the origin coordinate is not a fixed point for all portal systems or the subnet (the lab, to our knowledge, is of no importance to the subnet itself unlike the core and other similar locations). Thus it should be possible to have other portal systems with different origin coordinates. So where would this "different origin" be?
We are. The geotags don't need to be included in the theory as (to our knowledge) they are not a navigational tool (by navigation I mean transportation in this context), but a tool which shows location. But we're speculating, aren't we?

Okay then, so maybe Z2, as in a "secondary" Z-Axis? Or V (the predecessor to the letters W, X, Y and Z - W represents Width, making it confusing further)?I understand what you are saying, but we shouldn't call it a Z-axis since it is on a plane that the human race has not observed. To avoid misunderstandings we should name the (layer/dimensional) axis by a different letter.
I don't think I still quite understand, but I'm sure it's alright that I don't.Easy wasn't the keyword. The keyword was THROUGHOUT. I meant how it was possible to navigate throughout the whole of the subnet using the known technologies.
Oh, I see! Well, the Lab/Dorm being 000 could represent a "home base," thus inputting 000 for that location. However, I see what you're saying - Once the Portals are/were Reverse-Engineered, any origin coordinate can be made.I assume it can be anywhere.
Okay, but that's not why I explained my thoughts on Geotags anyway, you said:We are. The geotags don't need to be included in the theory as (to our knowledge) they are not a navigational tool (by navigation I mean transportation in this context), but a tool which shows location.
So I figured I might as well share my thoughts on it.We still know close to nothing about the geotags.

V will do.Okay then, so maybe Z2, as in a "secondary" Z-Axis? Or V (the predecessor to the letters W, X, Y and Z - W represents Width, making it confusing further)?
I guess I was unclear. (The most common method of transportation is the XYZ portal so I'll use it as an example) We only know of the existence of ONE portal system for that technology. A possible: 1000 different coordinates. The subnet must be larger than that (plus the Outer Rim can expand if it hasn't stopped). We CANNOT be able to access beyond any higher coordinate than 999. I am showing how it MAY be possible to navigate throughout the WHOLE of the subnet. That is the aim.I don't think I still quite understand, but I'm sure it's alright that I don't.
Sorry, must have got confused.Okay, but that's not why I explained my thoughts on Geotags anyway

Re: The Abacus' Theories
Okay, I'll keep that in mind.V will do.
OH, I see! So the Theory's about that last sentence alone: How we could possibly explore all of the SubNet (that is, including the Outer Rim.) [On a Sidenote, for some reason, I don't really consider the Outer Rim to be part of the "Submachine Network," mostly because no one's mapped it, but that shouldn't be an excuse as to whether or not it's part of the SubNet.) Well, a Theory with that premise can always be Still Alive.I guess I was unclear. That's absolutely fine, as long as you know why I explained.Sorry, must have got confused

Not explore, get to any location in the subnet. So the Theory's about that last sentence alone: How we could possibly explore all of the SubNet
Yes. (Wait are all the SNEE locations in the Outer Rim? I always had that impression...)including the Outer Rim
It doesn't assume much tough, just theorizes the existence of other portal systems.Well, a Theory with that premise can always be Still Alive.

Re: The Abacus' Theories
That's sort of what I meant - Being able to access all parts of the SubNet.Not explore, get to any location in the subnet.
I didn't believe so...I thought all the SNEE Locations were in the parts of the Submachine we've already explored. If SNEE was in the Outer Rim, then technically the Outer Rim is mapped if we've been able to access it. I mean to say if we've accessed it easily, then logically the research teams should have been able to map them out easily.Wait are all the SNEE locations in the Outer Rim? I always had that impression...
Exactly, which is why it's Still Alive or even Likely, but I have nothing to go on to give it that push to make it "Likely." Still Alive will do for now.It doesn't assume much tough, just theorizes the existence of other portal systems.

Re: The Abacus' Theories
I was thinking that because of the edge defenses. If the defenses are turned on, SNEE is either in the Core or the Outer Rim, or the portals found a way to bypass the system (highly unlikely). Or SNEE takes place after we turned off the defense system giving us the freedom to explore in both the Core and the Outer Rim.I didn't believe so...I thought all the SNEE Locations were in the parts of the Submachine we've already explored. If SNEE was in the Outer Rim, then technically the Outer Rim is mapped if we've been able to access it.
