Re: Jatsko's YouTube Discussion Thread boiiiiii
..just posting this here since I don't think it really fits anywhere, and you seem to be interested in little hacks like this, Jatsko..
One thing I've always found weird is how save files are shared between the downloaded HD Submachine games. Well, it turns out, if you know how, you can do some pretty cool things with that..
Okay, so, here's the deal. Every Submachine game is made up of rooms, right? Well, each of those rooms have an ID. The ID is unique to the game -- but, two games can have rooms that have the same ID (one in each game).
If you go to a room with, say, ID 10, in Sub1, then click on "continue" in Sub2, you'll be put into Sub2's room with ID 10.
Here's two maps:
Sub1: http://i.imgur.com/nO429QD.jpg
Sub2 (Digouts): http://i.imgur.com/nETu9fQ.jpg
To prove it works -- try it out for yourself. Open up Sub1-HD using Adobe Flash Player, go to room 10 (down and right from spawn), exit Sub1, open Sub2-HD, and click "continue". You'll end up in Sub2's room 10, which is the on the ladder beside the lower sewer entrance, as the Sub2 map shows.
Also, this trick might be slightly OS-dependent, if for whatever reason save files are stored differently across systems. But I think if you open both HD SWF files in Adobe Flash Player, it should work.
And of course, this can get you into kind of funny situations – for instance, if you go down the ladder after "warping" to Sub2-room10 (from Sub1-room10), since the ladder won't have been pulled down, you'll see that you can't go back up because the ladder is missing!
It's a fun little thing to experiment with. I've fully mapped Sub1 and Sub2. Sub3 and Sub5->8 don't have the same save/load mechanisms so I'm not sure it's possible to do much like this with those games, but Sub1,2,4,9,10,32,0 and FLF all work.

What's your OS? I'm using Windows 10 and it's not working for me.

macOS 10.12. Funny that Flash should save files differently across systems, but I guess it's not too surprising.Jatsko wrote:What's your OS? I'm using Windows 10 and it's not working for me.

awesome find!
I would never find it, since I don't play ugly copies of original structures...

Re: Jatsko's YouTube Discussion Thread boiiiiii
I just checked in Sub9 by changing layers at the White Karma Portal and in the Nataraja Room Exit, didn't found anything.
I'm not sure what Jatsko meant with "discovered", are these runes in a screen we never seen before somehow?

I'm quite busy too
I thought of two things, 1) Unicode numbers, 2) Countries with those letters/symbols (first letter from Spain, second from Germany, etc.). But I haven't had the time to think much about it.

00BF = 191
00DF = 223
00EF = 239
00F7 = 247
00FC = 252
00FD = 253
00FE = 254
There's a pattern...
00DF = 223
00EF = 239
00F7 = 247
00FC = 252
00FD = 253
00FE = 254
