@rooster
Maybe he meant Mat posted it somewhere,and that Gem read it.
Then he twisted his sentence a bit.
@World
Yes,very shocking to see Mat flame on someone.

Re: Submachine 8: the Plan
I think the 8 button in the navigator sends us to nothing. But the question is: Did subnet reached and expanded over that nothing?

Re: Submachine 8: the Plan
Or did it never exist? The SubNet can't expand over something that doesn't exist. The "eighth button" was possibly taken out from a remote:
And thus used as inspiration, with Mateusz keeping the eighth hole without a button to drive us insane.

They're probably stationary screws - If you look at the Navigator and then that remote, you'll see that there are two (what I believe to be) screws above the first two buttons and below the bottom two (if you consider the eighth hole a button.)
Still considered inspiration, even if he didn't copy it exactly.

Re: Submachine 8: the Plan
What if the navigator wasn't SUPPOSED to be a Navigator, and in its original purpose it needed 8 buttons.
Then someone used parts of it (and other stuff) to cobble together the Navigator as we know it.

That's plausable
Balance is imperative; without it, total collapse and destruction is imminent.
