For me the Steam versions are the cheapest.

EDIT: So, I bought both Hotel and Roots. Hotel got a stupid optional ingredients system that you can miss and there is no way to go back a day, only if you reset.

I think Roots is way better than hotel. Roots were bigger and had a better gameplay. I only liked the ending of hotel but it was confusing.
