I switched computers and checked it out. In the first one I could barely see it but in the second one it was right there on the corner. So,yeah it has to do with the screen you're using and how it's shown there.

Today, when I remembered Jatsko's research and last Mateusz's submachine forum post, I suddenly remembered one of result of my Submachine research:

here's true color of water in 947



and then the whole location uses "purple" filter.

In Alt Basement there's no any filters. Portal is red from the scrath.

however, blue karma portal sprite is white...

In Valve you can count only to 2

in subverse - to 291...

and even for that, you need hints (rarrrrrrrrr) from table
