Submachine 10: the Exit
Re: Submachine 10: the Exit
That's true. He focuses on what's best for business, I get that.
However I don't think a whole other game would be needed in order to say "Enihcambus's logic is correct" or "Sublevel's is correct" (keep in mind I'm not trying to put these two against each other)
It's a little clarification I want. One that could be answered in two or three words. Unless this coordinate system's interpretation disagreement is somehow integral to how The Engine or another standoff is played, then I don't see what's the issue with getting a short response.

Re: Submachine 10: the Exit
Well he responded to you. That's another thing, sometimes he doesn't know. Its like sub-bots, he may have coined the term during Sub6 development but didn't have a rough idea of what they looked like until Sub10 development. It happens.
Re: Submachine 10: the Exit
Yeah it does. I've calmed down a bit now, and everything's better

Re: [M-A-T] Subnet location for contacting the Architect.
if you push and unpush a button (2 states) it has to be binary, also submachine 10 = 2 in binary, we exit through the lighthouse (submachine 2) wowowowoSublevel 104 wrote:because these locations have not any relation to binary, maybe?
my order is about increasing subgames, from 1 to 9They're arranged by previous games they respond to.
no, really, but i like to think this last portal machine is binary.
Re: Submachine 10: the Exit
Well let's see if we can figure something out just from what we've seen, not relying on any sort of binary code. And of course, this is assuming that the 8 main locations fall directly on a Layer and not a Sublayer:
OOO is most likely Layer 8 since we arrived at the NGD from the White Portal from Sub9. However it would be easy to say it is NOT Layer 8 because we don't see the white particles. (I offered an explanation for this but I'm not sure how much I like it) If this is true then the Sub10 basement, the infernal basement, the Basement Exit, the Lighthouse, and the Metal Section also all take place in Layer 8.
However this is a problem because we see Murtaugh at the end of the game, which means that we couldn't be in Layer 8 unless we also have the same power as Mur does, so there goes that theory.
IOO could be any Layer, especially since it only links to a loop location.
OIO could be any Layer except where Sub4 takes place (unknown)
OOI could be any Layer except where Sub5 takes place (unknown, same as S4)
IIO could be any Layer except where Sub6 takes place (unknown, same as S4 and S5)
IOI cannot be Layer 1.
OII could be any Layer except where Sub7 takes place (unknown, same as S4, S5, and S6)
III sucks. Screw this. We've seen the Temple in all 8 layers already, which means now we're dealing with the fifth dimension of time.
---
One of the only clues we have is that Subs 1 through 7 all took place in the same layer, except for Sub3. (Hopefully I'm assuming correctly)
But then again, we can't know for sure that the Lighthouse in Sub2 and the Lab in Sub4 are in the same layer either! We don't know that the Loop dropped us off in the same Layer as we entered.
So it looks almost impossible to figure out.

Re: Submachine 10: the Exit
I'm going to address parts of your post in the theories thread. I have a few things to point out and speculate on
Re: Submachine 10: the Exit
First place we arrive is probably layer 1 and connected to the dock at sub 8. Because of the blue laser, in the background.
As for other locations, they could be any layer, why do you think they are all different layers? Also for other games, they could have taken place in different layers or a multitude of layers; we teleported a lot in sub 4, the XYZ portal can teleport between layers, like blue or green karma portals.

Re: Submachine 10: the Exit
Sub 9 confirms that the corridor part of Sub 5, and Sub 6 is on Layer 3

Re: Submachine 10: the Exit
Wait, how do we know the XYZ can go between layers?
