Submachine Wiki
Re: Submachine Wiki
If that were the case, it has the potential to attract people who make theories that are basically summaries of the most recent game. Then they would be basically given free "confirmed" votes. I've seen it while going down the list of theories from past games, people summarizing a game instead of making a theory off of it.
(Obviously, Vortex and Gem have theories that are not summaries, so don't worry, I'm not talking about you )
I've always thought it made sense for the deadline for theories to be the star of the voting session. But for now, I will gladly vote on the two new theories nonetheless!

Re: Submachine Wiki
okay then, I will add it to the list.
I don't think there will be much of a problem with theory-summaries. The status of a theory doesn't correlate to the merit it has; there are very good theories that are debunked, for example. It's not that having confirmed theories gives you extra "pastel points" or something, so I find it doubtful (heh) that someone would make a theory just to get the vote, in the middle of a voting session no less.

I actually remember getting complaints when writing my earlier theories that they seemed like plot summaries. Hopefully with the release of my 11th theory Resin Mimic, that shuts them up.
Yes eleven theories. Where is number one?
See when I first started on this community I had one named Alternate Timeline, a few years ago I retired the theory. Mateusz responded by removing one of the theory plates in 523. That theory plate on the ground is that very theory.
The theory is right here
Alternate Timeline Theory
The Submachine being its own living entity is a theory of mine. At one time humans created it, but it took over. It advanced more than what we predicted and now its multiplying. Remember in Sub5 where we used the coil to access the secret and also to turn on the screens displaying the rune? Basically we were in the first Submachine that wasn't alive, because it couldn't be. It was created by humans so we had to turn it on ourselves.
Any other Submachines after the creation of the first, is alive on its own. So we are prepared for what we created, but what it created we are not. Return 'unharmed'.
The whole idea of alternate time lines and dimensions also clicks. We don't know about it. Remember in the notes where the other search teams found more rooms? They basically don't know what this Submachine network is, but maybe at one time we did.
So probably somehow we are set in a different time line, hundreds, thousands of years later...
Sort of like this. We don't realize we are in our own creation, because it could be hundreds of years later, in different dimensions and time lines. But maybe someday we will...
Well I didn't think about all the interlocking rooms and puzzles being like a brain. But I guess it is.
Another thing is. M created the first submachine. He was directed. But either we was directed to create it for scientific purposes or he was directed to create it for it to 'take control of itself'
Re: Submachine Wiki
Since the voter turnout is so low, I extended ALL deadlines to the 13th.
Re: Submachine Wiki
There something not quite right with message wall colors, I think some of wiki theme colors are way to similar, and elements blend in.
Here how it looks on en subwiki:
And how it looks on ru subwiki, for example:

Re: Submachine Wiki
I don't know how to fix it... I don't think it's a theme issue, because the three active colors are different.
Is it really a problem though? The blending effect is not unpleasant to my eyes, and the color gets brighter once you click on it.

Re: Submachine Wiki
You can override colors via
in MediaWiki:Wikia.css.
Which is absolute ridiculous, but whatever works
Code: Select all
.Wall .new-message textarea {
background:#D5D4D4;
}
.Wall .new-message .editarea textarea {
background:#D5D4D4;
}

Re: Submachine Wiki
Done, thanks!
Re: Submachine Wiki
Ugh, it's still doesn't look right. Guess, there another class for loaded edit box, and I kinda missed the right color. I'll see if I can fix it.
Here with right color:
But I can't found the class for loaded edit box. Well, guess it's better than nothing.
