Submachine 10 and beyond Theories and Suggestions
Re: Submachine 10 and beyond Theories and Suggestions
I'd say we don't know yet. But that explorer's chip makes me suspicious.
I think there were no bones before because sub-bots were actively cleaning everything. Now that they're inactive, there's nothing to clean them off. I don't think it has much to do with sub-layers, but it could be. We only see skulls in two locations in the game.

I'm still very interested about whether portals (binary, xyz, root transporters) can transfer people to different layers or sub-layers.
Re: Submachine 10 and beyond Theories and Suggestions
Binary ones definitely can. Have you downloaded/played the fixed version of Sub10?

By the way, can we talk a bit about the old telephones in Captain's Ship? I think this is the first time we see actual normal communication items in the subnet.

I was a bit frustrated when none of them worked. I was expecting a creepy message from Shiva or something XDRuloCore wrote:By the way, can we talk a bit about the old telephones in Captain's Ship? I think this is the first time we see actual normal communication items in the subnet.

Lol
but seriously, is the entire ship kind of a waste of potential, or it's just me? The place's so large and full of stuff, so much space for puzzles, and in the end we only use it to get the crown converter and to open the secret area. Not even the telescope with levers on the left part shows anything but a black screen.
Or did I miss something?

Through every problem, raw persistence will prevail.

Nice theory
My ideas on how karma works are pretty similar to yours, except maybe the portals part. There's a note in Submachine 9 that hints at how karma portals connect layers.
