Yep right in my home city too.

I honestly didn't feel much, I was taking a nap, woke up to my lamp flickering, saw my christmas lights shaking a bit, felt my bed vibrate a bit and heard some car alarms go off and fell back asleep. Hey I figure if the world is going to end, I'll go out sleeping!

Didn't even figure it out until a friend mentioned it to me.

They are more for decoration, but do serve a purpose in another area which I wont disclose, because its not PG enough for this forum...

I do agree with the article though, we don't get them, usually. If we get an earthquake its an aftershock from an earthquake nearby in another state that has a fault line. We have fault lines here in Michigan but they aren't active enough to cause an earthquake that would be noticed or reported.

And having one so close to home, makes me wonder what is under the ground O_O

This is Michigan. We can have snow, 80 degree weather, tornadoes, hell even a dust storm all within the same week.

What is ironic is there was a church service going on during the quake and the preacher was talking about giving aid to the Nepal earthquake when this one happened.
