Re: Submachine Universe
ALRIGHT IT IS DONE
I completed a layout of ALL the locations that appear in the SubVerse as of V3.53(Jan15) With these visuals it'll be easier to try to piece together the XYZ cube they belong in!
So far we only know that one of the horizontal directions is the Z coordinate (as evidenced by 613 and 614), and we have to figure the other two coordinates.
I can post closeups and rearrange these locations at will, just ask!

Which one is my Location?
Re: Submachine Universe
I didn't include karma portal locations, as they're almost impossible to map. 966 the Altar is the third from the right in the bottom row, though. We'll have to figure out how to include KP locations at some point.
(also, a small thought I just had, why is it that there are never any XYZ portals in KP locations?)

Re: Submachine Universe
Well, those karma portals were presumably made during Mur's years of exploration, so perhaps the reason is that most connections didn't lead to interesting places worthy of installing a lab portal there.Error_3113 wrote:(also, a small thought I just had, why is it that there are never any XYZ portals in KP locations?)

That is true until you see 770 and 002OnyxIonVortex wrote:Well, those karma portals were presumably made during Mur's years of exploration, so perhaps the reason is that most connections didn't lead to interesting places worthy of installing a lab portal there.Error_3113 wrote:(also, a small thought I just had, why is it that there are never any XYZ portals in KP locations?)
@Error maybe these KPs are outside of ordinary space or that there could not be a portal made to to the location through other means.
Through every problem, raw persistence will prevail.

Re: Submachine Universe
Yeah, plus how I see it is that the Karma Portal goes through all 7 Layers at once in a full lap to get to the same location your already at.
So, XYZ KP I can only apply to the main Submachine series, but the ones in SNEE, in location in there, when we go through a karma Portal we may have not move from where we were standing. We are simple in the same theoretical spot, just in another layer.

Re: Submachine Universe
^That and XYZ portals are exclusive of Layer 1, me thinks.
The portals of the tomb traps, I think, were made in case someone falls in said "traps" and has to escape.
I think Location 002 is an interesting place, it just that we only see one Layer of it.
