Submachine 9: the Temple
Re: Submachine 9: the Temple
I actually think that the hole is part of the drainage system of the temple, and the "chain" is actually murky water or sand flowing out.

Then why is it static?
Re: Submachine 9: the Temple
Yeah, it doesn't look like it's flowing.

I think it's part of the mechanism, that's supposed to lower the cage thing.

Re: Submachine 9: the Temple
I have only two thoughts:
1) it WAS part of elevator system (how did they descend down?)
2) it is part of mechanism 10 screens above O_o (well, there's blue karmic thing, maybe the chain teleports on 10 levels down?..)

Re: Submachine 9: the Temple
Now that I'm looking at a layout of the temple, I'm starting to get really frustrated with how asymmetrical the bottom level is.
@Sublevel, which elevator system are you talking about?

There you go.
Through every problem, raw persistence will prevail.

Oh, right right. For a moment I thought y'all were talking about the climbing rope (duh)
That seems to be the best explanation, but there's no way the chain remains intact all the way down...
