What I was thinking about, that will nicely fit in Subnet, is the electric sound produced by a broken wire.

As far as generic sounds, do you mean "too generic" as in "too common"? Because the Subnet also has an Emergency Broadcasting System alert as an ambient which is fairly common as well.
