Submachine 9: the Temple
Re: Submachine 9: the Temple
I doubt it too, but it would be cool to have connections like that, just to see how it plays out, and also because it would give the series more solidity, linking the beginning to the end.

Oh God... I have only now correctly understood meaning of each note from secret location...
Did anyone know that plot can twist like that?
Edit:
But what does mean "We believe he stayed in that moment forever."?

Don't forget that Scare Chord from Sub 2 playing as soon as you come across the tomb.gemini wrote:I was creeped out when we went to open their coffins. But I had a bit of sorrow in me.Anteroinen wrote:YES!Edit: I would like to also know if anyone else felt this was an emotional installment? We found and learned the fates of Murtaugh and Elizabeth. I guess it shows how deeply rooted our fascination of this game series is. And how we do not want it to end.
When I saw that there was a tomb I said to myself: "No." Then I moved my cursor to read the sing and it says: "tomb of Murtaugh" and I just go: "NO! You did not just do that!"
In terms of the music, I feel like the music in the beginning has a sense of accomplishment to it. Like we are accomplishing doing something, which is basically beginning our journey to exit the structure. Then we get to the lower areas and the music goes from this loud, adventuresome noise, to this soft and careful noise. I feel like the noise is that of revelations. We start to learn more about Murtaugh and Elizabeth, and finally discover their purposes which wraps up their stories.
We then find their tombs with the festive yet ghoulish music playing. Then the ending where its back to that sense of accomplishment music, this time louder and better than before.
I felt a bit nostalgic, being back in high pitched blue and red rooms (lighthouse and loop) and the rooms with the brass ladders, it felt a bit like the loop again. Or the basement. Probably just the constant changing colors.
I enjoyed taking a brief trip back to Sub6 and retrieving the three wisdom gems. I hope to see more of that in Sub10.
That came out of left field, for sure.
Frozen in time? After all, Layer 8 is the Layer of Light, where time stands still...Sublevel 102 wrote:Oh God... I have only now correctly understood meaning of each note from secret location...

Ah, but we've seen different colours of portal too, have we not?Babylon wrote:Isn't the liquid in those pipes purple?
I've been thinking about that and I have a theory they are the same pipes that go through the Basement. So my guess is from.
I took it as a poetic way to say: "he found happiness and we like to think he is still happy after death".But what does mean "We believe he stayed in that moment forever."?
"We didn't leave the Stone Age, because we ran out of stones."

Re: Submachine 9: the Temple
LOL, I found another bug.
When you press 'exit the game' button in secret location, your appear in main menu, where main menu ambient plays... only 8 seconds, before it suddenly disappears (music turns off). And if you in lower options line turns off the music and turns on again, you can hear... ambience of secret location!!! Staying in the same main menu. O_o
Ok, we have... 6 bugs already.

ShadowNil wrote:1) When you fill the brass jug with karmic water from the fountain at the beginning, if you click at the right time (when the jug blinks to your cursor before going down to your inventory space, which you can catch if you notice the animation closely), the karmic water jug will become attached to your cursor, and you can't place it in your inventory or click anywhere, forcing you to restart.
Gemini wrote:The bug I found is different. Its the ladder rung you obtain in the earlier part of the game. Its can be attached to ladder holes, however its true purpose is for obtaining a secret. If you obtain it before exploring further, and go back up into the blue rooms, the rung will disappear from your inventory and you'll hear the clicking that a item was used, but the rung is not shown anywhere.
Actually I wonder if the ladder run is bugged to begin with. If you use it on the holes, you cannot get it back. Thus you are locked out of obtaining the secret. Which means you have to restart the game. Which can cause quite a headache if you are doing the game for the first time.
Gemini wrote:The audio bug I found was a when you use the karmic water into the bowl to sprout a lever that opens the ladder up. The prior ladder and ladder after this make a sound, but this one does not.
Sublevel 102 wrote:Also, I found if you enter secret location, but then change layer and go back, you go through wall, lol.
Small error in gameplay?

Also, I remember someone had problems with loading in HD game...When you load game, staying outside the Temple (where sky is), sky/background is black. It returns to normal if you do one/two movements.

It doesn't look normal, right?

Also, I have just realized at least one of my mini theories was confirmed:
After moving through that gates in Sub8 to Temple, navigator wouldn't work as in knot, because in the Temple all layers interconnect to single one.
yay
But at the same time, I ABSOLUTELY failed with my old talks about "there is no 8th layer. Navigator has place for eight button because it was remade from some unknown useless remote control that had 8 buttons".

Re: Submachine 9: the Temple
Well actually in the Temple each layer is each layer, they don't interconnect to single one. It's just that the Temple exists in all 8 layers.Sublevel 102 wrote:But Gemini wrote "the rung will disappear from your inventory and you'll hear the clicking that a item was used, but the rung is not shown anywhere."OnyxIonVortex wrote:Oh, okay.
