Ooooooh boy, that last secret is a doozy. I only twigged when watching a friend on his play-through earlier (and promptly didn't tell him, just to be annoying).

And now to, um, digest all this new information...
On the other side of the field, I heard... I heard a rumour...

Got through game and eventually found all 5 secrets with no help! BOOYAH!!! 8-)

Mind = F***ed

Secret list (Spoilers)
1. Use the ladder rung on the pillar that only appears in layer 4.
2. Flip the switch on the cow statue near Liz's tomb, then check cow statue near Mur's tomb.
3. Use the bowl found in resin on hole in ground near the 2-5-6 device. Flip the "T" pipe so it points up.
4. Get the brass scale from the pit, put on device near rope to find Liz's stone eye. Use the scales to open the pipes near Liz's tomb.
5. Use hammer to ring bells above both stairwells. Collect secret from statue on far right of area with the cage.
Secret location: while in layer 8, collect stone key from 2-5-6 device. Use stone key in alcove that appears near IIIIIII

Finished it. Amen, brothers and sisters, at last.

That ladder rung is very evil. I can't take it off once I place it. I mean, why *wouldn't* you place it in the broken ladder? But even then, why *can't* you take it off and use it correctly later on?

I just noticed. It still didn't explained what is so important on Layer 5! The people who hated Mur lived on Layer 3, so, why Layer 5?!

Also, I think I got a theory in mind. The Core is the area controlled by karma, The Outer Rim is an artificial expansion controlled by computers (Defense System).

Two screens after crossing the green bridge, you should see a panel with a square shape on it. Switch the navigator to layer 4, and there should be a brass pillar. Use the rung from the broken ladder on the hole on the pillar.

Oh sorry, I though the pillar was the one right next to where you get the ladder rung.
