We could possible have the ability to use the 8th button on the navigator.

Just had a thought. Maybe the pillars of rock are burial cairns? They seem purposful and delibarate, as if they are maybe megolithic in nature.
EDIT: Here are some inuit burial cairns, for comparison.

You know that is what I first thought when I saw that. A vast, vast graveyard.
"We didn't leave the Stone Age, because we ran out of stones."

Which is every so slightly sinister.
EDIT: There is a rather sinister note about the submachine being made of bones in mnt.

I know that everywhere I look I'm probably looking at bones. The subnet is everywhere. How many people had to die for him to gather the information he so dearly needed?

Wow, they're pretty similar. It could be that!

I've been trying to remember what they reminded me off ever since I first saw it, and I found it.

Could it be that the karmic civilization is... a skeleton civilization? O_o
Re: Submachine 9 theories and suggestions
On a side note, does the beam entering or exiting the fountain seem less straight than the ones from the beamers?

Re: Submachine 9 theories and suggestions
I don't think so, I think that's just lack of movement; in sub8 the beam bent/arced from one side to the other giving the illusion that the beam is straight.
Balance is imperative; without it, total collapse and destruction is imminent.
