Looks like...Pure Beamer Energy.

It appears, the location is somewhere around The Temple in Layer 5.

I'm starting to think the goal in the whole Submachine is to destroy as much as you can with those laser beams.

I thought that was Murtaugh Goal, not ours.
He left the Player for dead when we took down the Defense System.

ITS BEAUTIFULL!!! :D

Also, I think we have to use a bucket and use that green liquid to fill something.
I'm wondering what are those buildings in the background, other parts of the temple perphaps.

You mean that freezening the liquid will create a wisdom gem like the one found in Sub0?

What about the background? It looks to me like a city.
I smell plot twists ahead. ;)

I don't think the beamers actually destroy anything, maybe they connect the layers like strings.
Not freezing the liquid, but the liquid, or even if you call what we see a liquid (could be plasma for all we know) might be major ingredient in the processing of wisdom/energy gems, such as the one we find in Sub0, Sub1, use in Sub2 and Sub6 and Sub8.
I don't think it's a liquid either, probably a new state of matter, but I'm not sure if this stuff can be used to make wisdom gems, since wisdom gems are bluish-white and can be used to create white lightning, but this stuff is green coloured, and it's probably used for a different purpose than wisdom gems. But it might also be possible to say that this green energy is a raw form of energy that can be refined to create wisdom gems.
Is this my final form?

that would make sense.
Maybe the Beamer Energy is the same material used to create wisdom gems.

It took 3 Wisdom Gems to power up THE BEAMERs built in the Mover in Sub6.
