Alright, now I can't help but voice my opinion on these games.
So now, I've played through Daymare Town 4, and it's now surpassed #2 as my favorite Daymare Town game. There was something less... human about this one than the others. With the previous Daymare Town games, you were mostly going around giving stuff to people and getting stuff back, but with this one, there's a lot more... non-human interaction. The backpack was a great idea, I didn't like having to go to the shop whenever my inventory was full in Daymare Town 3. This was a great way to address that problem (although, you still have to FIND the backpack first, but this is Daymare Town, I wasn't expecting it to be easy.
)
Also, it seems like these games make less and less sense as time goes on. In the first game, the weirdest thing I saw was give a golden egg to a little guy and he teleports, and other than that there wasn't way too much off-putting. In the second game we get (just for example's sake) a giant flying cigarette smoker. (Don't tell me it didn't freak you out when lighting his cigarette made him fly away.) In the third, we have a captain that you can force-feed pills too with little or no effort. And now...(spoiler)
we have to go into this half-buried sand giant skeleton and eat this weird...thing you find in its stomach so that it's possible to see a ladder. Not at all complaining about this, this is just one of the things I love about this series. Though now I'm wondering what kind of crazy thing we'll have to do in Daymare Town 5 that tops this...
Though, if I had to change just one thing about Daymare Town 4... I'd throw in a cameo appearance from the heroine of Daymare Cat.
