Re: Celebrations
It was a $250 scholarship.
This is why I say that the school known as Ross Beatty is the OVERLOOK HOTEL.
It is completely run as if their are three year old behind the wheel.
It only benefits the actively social people, cause it is the only way to get things done around there.
Other people got a butt load of awards, while I sat in the corner like a big idiot.
The people who were the most popular of course got all the awards, leaving the crumbs to the average student.
One day I hope that building is burned down to the ground and rebuilt into a better place than it actually seems.

Burning of the Topiary
Soon to follow of the destruction of the Overlook

Re: Celebrations
In my primary school, I had a friend, who got scholarship for good learning.
He had very good marks for every class, as well as for behavior, won some competition and had the best average in the end of year and had pretty good score in the exam, that we were writing after primary school.
He got 20PLN. It's like 6/7 bucks.

Re: Celebrations
Russia is the only country that celebrates end of war on May 9th.
Ok, I checked, not only. But as I remember from history lessons from primary school, it was some kind of big deal, when war was ended everywhere, but Soviet Union was still waiting for Germany to capitulate.
So post communistic countries are celebrating end of the war later than everybody else.
