Oh, and you could use the metal box as the weight to weigh down the metal rod/stick and move the chest! (that is, if it's feasible...)

You could both rods, some distance apart, to balance the metal box on top of them. From then on, it's a simple case of applying pressure.

Oh, and you could use the metal box as the weight to weigh down the metal rod/stick and move the chest! (that is, if it's feasible...)

How about closing the chest, standing on top of it and seeing if the ceiling above has any hidden loose tiles?
Mr. Stick closes chest top, and climbs on it, trying to find something on ceiling and on walls.
