Hmm... human faces are so murderously difficult to draw because we humans are so used to seeing perfect looking faces(unless in caricatures). If I get so much as one detail wrong, I would screw up the whole thing, because people's subconscious would interpret it as a kind of sickness or something.

See how it works if you draw someone from a reference, but do it with the face upside-down. It's a trick my drawing teacher from a couple years ago taught me; apparently it makes it easier to view the face as just a 'group of shapes'.
